THE GROUNDS
Butstone Farm is set within its own peaceful 16acres, themselves within the most beautiful countryside. The view from the cottages has that real "Wow" factor, looking down across the valley and taking in one of the ornamental lakes in the valley. Sheep are in the fields at different times of the year and agriculture is at the heart of what this part of Devon is all about.

The farm has its own almost "secret path" like access to the Tarka Trail which is at the bottom of the valley and which runs from Bideford on the north coast to Meeth with its nature reserve a few miles south of the farm.

The air is alive with the sound of birds, different ones at each stage of the year, but with a number of residents who busy themselves throughout the day and then at night the sound of owls takes over.
