Butstone Farm
~Self Catering Cottages~
ABOUT
Butstone Farm is a lovely small holding set in the heart of the North Devon countryside. With 2 self catering cottages and set in 16 acres of private grounds, including 2 substantial lakes and gorgeous views across the valley, you are guaranteed a memorable stay, whatever the weather. Both cottages are fully centrally heated and are even more cosy in winter with gas powered log burner stoves, but equally they take full advantage of the rural location in summer with al fresco dining on the private patios, each with a stunning view across the valley. Up to 2 dogs per cottage are welcome and both cottages have travel cots and high chairs for the younger members of your party. Book either cottage for 4 people, or book both if you have a larger party - ideal for family groups. Mike and Christine live on site in the main farmhouse and are available to help ensure your stay is as enjoyable as is possible
OUR COTTAGES
Beer and Saunton cottages are both spacious 2 bedroomed cottages sleeping 4 each. Beer Cottage has a generous double bed in one room and twin beds in the other, while Saunton Cottage has a zip and link 6ft double bed and a twin room. Have a look at the specific page for either cottage to get more details.
OUR SERVICES
Walking and Bird Watching
Whether you walk the South West coastal path, head off to Exmoor, or Dartmoor, or just use the private access from our grounds to the renowned Tarka Trail, you are sure to see beautiful scenery and a host of bird life. We are a mile's easy walk from the Meeth Quarry wildlife reserve.
Free Wifi
Both cottages benefit from free high speed wifi coverage and this extends to much of the outside area too.
The Grounds
Butstone Farm has completely private grounds of 16 acres, much of which is pasture, but with 2 substantial lakes and an enchanting path down the valley giving direct private access to the Tarka Trail. Enjoy total tranquillity watching nature.
The Coast
The north and south coastlines of Devon and Cornwall are both within easy reach of Butstone Farm and are some of the most beautiful in the UK.
Cycling
Not only is the Tarka Trail a long distance footpath, it is also a cycleway along the former track bed of a railway. Therefore gradients are gentle and you can cycle from Butstone Farm all the way to Bideford on the north coast without cycling on the road. Dartmoor and Exmoor also offer excellent mountain biking.
